Brit Sue Aspey has run Wigan bar in ทางเข้า slotxo Malaga for 22 years and says she is "really looking forward to" welcoming visitors, as Spain lifts all restrictions on UK tourists today.
Aspey says she is "not overly concerned" about the spread of coronavirus "because we are still doing all the distancing, mask wearing, sanitising everybody is really clued up with all this".
"We've been open since last June and although business has been extremely slow we've still had people coming in, and touch wood, so far I don't know anybody who has been ill with Covid," she says.
Aspey says she is not "imagining a huge influx of people" because of the rules on PCR tests and 10-day quarantine on return to the UK.
She says people heading out to Spain for longer stays of three or four weeks hope the country will be on the UK's green list by the time of their holiday so they can avoid the rules on the way back.
Aspey hopes the UK government will look at Spain regionally when reviewing the green list, as places such as Madrid are "still struggling" with Covid case numbers but Malaga has "very little incidences". This will help the Spanish economy as well as people in the UK "desperate for a holiday in the sun", she says.
