Its not done to actually get rich. Classic cars are an extra vehicle for those who can afford it. So to make it a success you need to have desirable cars that are priced low. and the willingness to send some to auction after you fail to sell them. I personally have had some very nice cars listed for months with no bites, and was forced to just send them off to auction to clear space and recoup some money on them. You get into this as a hobby or as a 2nd way of enjoying yourself in the car market. My main business is not the classic cars they are something that I keep around to enjoy and sell. On average it takes 3–6 months to sell one for the amount I want and I have had some sit for as long as a year before I cut my losses and auction them (typically selling at auction can result in a loss of about 25% but sometimes you get lucky,)
